Roots ‘N’ Wings Women’s Choir
A new choir for women’s voices aged 19 and up.
Roots ‘N’ Wings sings music that moves you and grooves you. We explore the world’s music and experience the wonder and deep delight that comes from a community of voices soaring together. Roots ‘N’ Wings is a musical adventure guaranteed to stir your heart, fire you up and leave you wanting more!
Roots ‘N’ Wings is looking for female singers who are:
– committed, passionate and curious
– looking for a unique and wholehearted choral experience
– have previous singing and choral experience
– have a good sense of rhythm and groove and a strong sense of pitch
– have some music reading abilities
– open to singing all styles of music
– are looking to expand their musicianship and who seek musical excellence
– are able to attend all weekly rehearsals
Rehearsals:
Monday evenings from 7:30-9:30pm
September to June
Singers are expected to attend all rehearsals and performances.

$375 per season

Dawn has become a staple of the Vancouver music scene and can often be found tearin’ it up as a vocalist, teacher, facilitator, adjudicator, choir director and “go to girl” for live performances and studio sessions. She currently directs the Roots ‘N’ Wings Women’s Choir and teaches masterclasses and workshops all over Canada. A passionate educator and performer, Dawn is extremely committed to developing and implementing fun, inspiring, accessible and educational musical experiences for people of all ages.
