This weekend I’m up in beautiful Pender Harbour on the Sunshine Coast for the annual Blues festival and I’ve had the pleasure of sharing the stage with some great players and vocalists like Diane Lines, Chris Nordquist, Tim Hearsey, Rob Becker, Tom Pickett, Gary Comeau, Willie McCalder and Peter van Deursen to name a few.
It’s been an amazing few days full of great music, great people, amazing scenery and gorgeous blue skies! I don’t think it could get any better than this…..well…wait…. I did just see a bald eagle fly by my window. Anyways, I have been on an all blues diet for the last few weeks and I just had to share this gem by the fabulous Shuggie Otis. I believe he was 15 when he recorded this.
