It’s a slow, quasi-grey day in Vancouver. I love days like this. They’re like an invitation to exhale, take stock, day dream a bit, stay in bed a little longer and make more time to get things done. I have been working a lot over the last few weeks: teaching, leading workshops, writing, studying and perfoming. I just got home from a fabulous week of teaching in the Okanagan and am gearing up for a few more full, exciting weeks of teaching and workshops (and hopefully more writing). Knowing that I won’t be home for a while make days like today precious and fill me with gratitude. My to-do list is a long one, but the spaciousness of the day and good music have made things bearable. I have been listening to Robert Glasper and Roy Ayers all day, they are the ultimate companions on such a day. Here is the Robert Glapser Experiment live, performing Roy Ayers’ song, Third Eye. Enjoy!
